Position Boyle Construction a 45-year-old Lehigh Valley based Construction Manager and General Contractor is seeking to hire experienced Commercial Carpenters to join their rapidly growing team. Responsibilities In this role the Carpenter shall perform all types of general commercial carpentry including but not limited to the following: Blueprint reading Selective hand demolition Small and select concrete work. Wood (rough) carpentry Millwork and finish carpentry Drywall Hanging and Installation Drywall taping, spackling, and finishing. Metal Stud Framing ACT Ceiling installation Acoustical ceilings Installation of doors Frames and Hardware Installation among other tasks Working with hand tools Working with electric tools Clean up. Qualifications And Other Skills And Abilities Professional Training or 5 Years of experience working as a commercial carpenter. Excellent problem resolution skills. Ability to be flexible with tasks on hand. Ability to prioritize. Essential Physical Requirements And Working Conditions Ability to work in an environment which may include fumes, odors, chemicals, sawdust, and ash. Ability to work in an environment with noises in the range of 30-85 db. Ability to lift or push up to one hundred (100) pounds, or in excess thereof, with the use of proper equipment or assistance. Ability to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds. Ability to use hand tools safely. Ability to use electric tools safely. Ability to walk up and down steps, climb ladders, staging and scaffolding and on uneven ground. Ability to bend, twist, reach, stretch and work in tight spaces. Ability to drive a motor vehicle. Job Type Full-time – Non-Exempt Compensation And Benefits Hourly position Yearly employee reviews and salary increases are typically done each year. Merit bonuses are typically distributed each year if financially possible and feasible and at the President’s sole discretion. 401K plan with a current employer match of 30% up to the first 6% of the employee’s contribution. There is a 6-month waiting period with 6-year vesting schedule. Profit Sharing Plan – Contributions vary year to year based on profitability of the company, at the Principal’s sole discretion.
